Haven’t consumed enough about the Kennedy dynasty just yet? Well, when you’re done bingeing Love Story, Netflix will be soon be diving deep into the triumphs and tragedies of the Kennedy family — one of America’s most notorious political families.
While not much is yet known about the production, if we’re going off the real-life stories surrounding the family, the drama will be endless.

What is Kennedy about?
The series begins during the rise of Joe Kennedy Sr. and Rose Kennedy against all odds, along with their nine children (including JFK) in the 1930s.
Kennedy is inspired by the book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917–1956 by Fredrik Logevall, focusing in on the rebellious second son, Jack, as he grapples to find his footing and escape the shadow of his “golden-boy older brother”, as per Tudum.
“The story of the Kennedys is the closest we have to American mythology,” showrunner Sam Shaw told Tudum. “Somewhere between Shakespeare and The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Who is in the cast of Kennedy?
Michael Fassbender will be leading the Kennedy clan as Joe Sr. and Laura Donnelly will play his wife, Rose. Love, Simon‘s Nick Robinson will star as their eldest son, American aviator Joe Jr., while Joshua Melnick will play his rebellious younger brother, Jack.
Rounding out the cast is Imogen Poots, Lydia Peckham, Saura Lightfoot-Leo, Ben Miles, and Cole Doman.
As well as Albert Welling who will portray Winston Churchill.
When does Kennedy release?
No official air date has been announced for Kennedy, however, the series has supposedly been in development for years.
In March 2026, Netflix revealed that the series had begun filming after they shared a photo of Michael Fassbender on set in London.
It’s likely the eight episode’s will be ready to release in late 2026 or early 2027.

Is there a trailer yet?
Netflix is yet to release a trailer for the series as they’re still in production with the series.
