Khloe Kardashian shared a cryptic post to Instagram on August 3, writing: “We must learn who is gold and who is simply gold plated.”
The quote was accompanied by a lengthy statement about toxic relationships, with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star, 32, writing: “Today I ask you to go deeper in the relationships you have and go beyond the top surface layer of our day to day conversations.”
“Make it an objective to weed out the people who consistently sell you false promises. Be mindful of people who regularly disappoint or let you down. Stop making excuses for the ones who don’t put you first and make more time for the ones who are deserving and fighting for your time.
“Real friends inspire. They’re not constantly ridiculing and tearing you down.
“Stop letting ones insecurities put limitations or restrictions on your future and the way you view yourself. Surround yourself with relationships who are built off of trust, empowerment and most of all loyalty.
Before concluding: “I’ve come to realize that the only people I need in my life are the ones who need me in theirs even when I have nothing to offer but myself.”
Kardashian recently admitted on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she is struggling with dealing with her estranged husband Lamar Odom’s recovery, months after he was put in an induced coma following a drink and drugs binge.
