Kim Kardashian is making a bold career move in 2023, adding a new role to her list of acting credits.
The reality star has joined the cast of the next season of American Horror Story.

According to the announcement posted on social media, Kardashian joins actress Emma Roberts as the season’s main stars.
The latest installment of the AHS franchise, titled American Horror Story: Delicate, is based on a yet-to-be-released book, Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
The novel follows a woman desperately trying to conceive when she becomes convinced someone is deliberately trying to stop her. As a pattern of cruel tricks (or coincidences?) drive her deeper into paranoia, it is unknown whether she is a victim of somebody’s actions or her own mind.
It is yet to be revealed the role Kim will assume, and how closely AHS will follow the novel.
This is not Kardashian’s only connection to AHS creator, Ryan Murphy. Murphy also produced the American Crime Story franchise, the first season of which followed the OJ Simpson murder trial that made the Kardashians a household name. Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, was Simpson’s friend and defence attorney.
While Kim’s foray into acting will surprise some, this is not her first turn in the dramatic arts. Kimmy K already has a few acting credits under her belt — and that’s not including her lengthy reality TV career.
However, while the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has taken on acting gigs before, it is unlikely you’ve seen her in anything of this scale.

Disaster Movie as Lisa
Kim’s first acting job was in the 2008 spoof comedy, Disaster Movie. The action movie satire follows a group of friends try to avoid an end-of-the-world scenario.
Kardashian’s character had a few shining moments, including a wrestling match with Carmen Electra, but is eventually crushed by a meteor.
With a current rating of 1.9 stars out of 10 on IMDb, Disaster Movie was not well received.
How I Met Your Mother as herself
In an episode of How I Met Your Mother, Kim appears briefly – but memorably! – as a magazine cover come-to-life.
“Shakespeare wrote: ‘virtue is bold and goodness never fearful’,” the magazine cover of Kardashian says to Jason Segel’s character. He responds: “You’re right, super hot lady who my wife keeps telling me why you’re famous but I keep forgetting.”
2 Broke Girls as herself
When Kim Kardashian plays “herself” is she really playing herself?
In 2 Broke Girls, Kim made a quick appearance in the season four premiere.
The episode revolved around the Caroline and Max’s cupcake business appearing in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. After the plan falls through, Kim herself rocks up at the store to buy a cake and give her personal apologies.
“I know how hard us girls work to keep our businesses going,” she says before promising to support her fellow women in business with a promotional tweet.
PAW Patrol: The Movie as Delores
If you have any children in your life under the age of 10, chances are they’re mad about PAW Patrol. Kim, herself a mother of four, plays the character of a “sassy, Valley Girl” poodle named Delores. Being an animation, you won’t see Kim’s face in the film – but there’s no mistaking that iconic voice.
Kim joined other A-list stars in the PAW Patrol voice cast, including Jimmy Kimmel, Tyler Perry, Randall Park, Yara Shahidi and Dax Shephard.
Kim will reprise her role as Delores in the upcoming sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
Drop Dead Diva as Nikki LePree
Kardashian assumed the role of con-arist Nikki LePree in comedy series, Drop Dead Diva.
Her four-episode arc involved her conning the character of Stacy out of her savings to start a ‘Pakery’. (That would be a half-pie, half-cake bakery.) Kim’s character eventually lands behind bars but somehow manages to still look extra polished in prison.
Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counsellor as Ava
PAW Patrol wasn’t the first time Kim Kardashian has worked alongside film industry veteran Tyler Perry.
Perry, who has written and directed dozens of his own films (including the Madea franchise) and starred in hits like Gone Girl and Don’t Look Up, cast Kim in his 2013 relationship drama Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counsellor.
Kardashian appeared as the vapid co-worker of Judith (Jurnee Smollett), who is struggling with her growing career ambitions and the ~temptation~ of a handsome billionaire.
While Kim didn’t occupy a massive role in the film, her time on-screen did earn her a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress.
