Fans first fell in love with Vakoo on The Bachelor in 2020, vying for the love of Matt Agnew. Although the pair weren’t meant to be, it wasn’t the last fans had seen of Vakoo, with the Aussie model gracing our screens once again as a bombshell on Love Island Australia.
Whilst her time on the show was short, she made quite the impression, setting her eyes on Callum. Yet it just wasn’t meant to be with Vakoo getting dumped from the Villa just days after joining the show.
Vakoo spoke exclusively to WHO about her time in Spain, dishing the dirt on all things, bombshells, challenges and reality TV!
Firstly, how did you feel about being dumped from the villa?
I was expecting it. I had a feeling that when it came down to Stella and I, Tak was going to choose Stella. There was just something in the air, and I saw it coming and it was really sad.
And what was it like being a bombshell? Do you feel like it was a disadvantage coming in so late?
Being a bombshell is really hard. I think it has its benefits. And also it didn’t. It was hard for me at the time because everyone had already formed such strong connections. So it was hard to get to see and integrate in that. If I had my own choice, I would have preferred to come in earlier, but I think I did my job.
If you had the chance, would you still make all the same decisions that you did? Was there anything you wish you could have done differently?
I mean, I would still have gone for Callum, that would have been my initial like, that was what I would have done. But I would have kept myself more open to Tak.
And are there any kind of gameplayers in the villa that you spotted? Anyone who’s not in there for the right reasons?
I don’t know. It’s hard to say because I never know what people are like in their own couples. You know, genuinely, it’s hard for me to say.
I know it’s a tricky question! What, couples do you think were the most authentic? I know, Claudia and Austin are fan favourites. Are they as loved up on the show?
Yes! I think they’re such an amazing couple and they are who I’m rooting for personally.
And what was your love Island highlight?
My highlight was probably the kissing challenge because we all made out with each other – that was so much fun.
And you were previously on The Bachelor, how different were those two experiences? Was there one that you enjoyed more?
I definitely enjoyed Love Island more because it’s less pressure obviously. The Bachelor is just one guy and 20-something girls, so it was a bit harder.
Is this the end of reality TV for you? Or would you do it again, either on Love Island or another TV show?
Definitely. Yeah, I do love reality TV and I would do I do want to do something like that, but I’m done with love shows! Maybe something like Big Brother…
