Season seven of Love Island Australia officially wrapped on December 15, with Yana and Kye announced as the winners.
In the final ceremony, the Australian public voted for the couple to win the $30,000. Talking to host Sophie Monk, they were visibly thrilled about the result.
This left couples Sharn and Ross, and Jaide and Jotham as runners-up. While they missed out on the prize money, they left in committed relationships.
Speaking to host Sophie after winning the seventh series, Kye and Yana said they were shocked and would never have believed they’d be standing there as winners.
“We have grown so much together throughout this experience,” Yana gushed. “Kye has been my rock in the Villa, and we’ve learnt so much about ourselves, which has led us to a deeper understanding and level of respect for each other. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”
Kye echoed her statement, saying: “She brought out the best in me. I’m grateful for every moment we shared, for all the life lessons and personal growth, and I can’t wait to start our life on the outside together. Stay tuned for our next chapter.”
After a string of brutal dumpings, only three couples were left standing at the finale.
Ross and Sharn were the last remaining day-one pair, somehow weathering every challenge thrown at them.
Kye and Yana’s chaotic chemistry turned into one of the season’s strongest partnerships.
And finally, there was Jotham and Jaide, who quickly became fan favourites after taking a bit longer than others to find their rhythm.
But Love Island Australia is pre-recorded and the finale was filmed months before it aired, so many of us are wondering: are Yana and Kye still together?

Although the pair haven’t outright confirmed their relationship status, the fact that Yana has been seen out and about wearing the bracelet Kye gave her certainly gives us hope.
One of Yana’s friends also dropped a major clue that the couple are still together in a now-viral TikTok video.
Yana’s friend Jamie-Lee shared a video on the social media site of Kye carrying Yana down a road at night.
In the comments section, a fan called Kye a “red flag”, but Jamie’s response told fans everything they needed to know: “He has grown up so much. He also loves her so much”.
However, Yana recently threw a spanner in the works when she posted some lyrics about a man who lies and drew attention to a section of the song that says, “I’m done.”
It seems like we’ll just have to wait and see how everything unfolds!
