Will there be a couple swap on MAFS 2026?

The first dinner party has brought with it some major drama.

It’s the first dinner party of the MAFS season and, of course, it’s anything but tame. Before they even left their apartment, Bec tells her husband Danny that she and Gia already have “beef” with each other after the Hen’s Night.

Gia even said that she’s expecting drama, telling her husband Scott: “We might rub people the wrong way. We’re going to go in, like, we know we’re good, so there could be people that just don’t like that.”

“I bring drama, I don’t know what it is, just some girls don’t like me,” she added matter-of-factly.

Gia also guessed that Bec might’ve been “intimidated” by her looks.

MAFS’ Bec says she thinks Gia is Danny’s type

Bec and Danny walked into the first MAFS dinner party on “great terms”, but things have been a little off with them after they decided their sexual attraction wasn’t very high.

When the show’s producers questioned how Bec would feel if she saw Danny with another woman, the bride went so far as to say she’d “kill him” if she saw that happen.

After Bec tells some of the other women at the cocktail party that she and Danny had a conversation about getting to know each other better before sleeping together again, the experts say this is likely a way for her “save face” in front of the other couples.

Later on, Bec tells Rebecca that she thinks that Gia would probably be more Danny’s type than she is.

Bec did attempt to kill Gia with kindness when she and Scott arrived, but Gia was having none of it, telling the cameras that “it was very fake”.

“I’m curious to see if her and her man are getting along, because her man was definitely looking at me and I noticed that,” she added.

“I’d better look out!” Scott quipped, but Bec assured him that Danny wasn’t her type and that he shouldn’t “worry”.

When speaking to the MAFS producers, Bec refused to even say that she thought Gia was more Scott’s type, because she didn’t want to put that thought “into the universe”.

Gia later said, “Danny, he was the only groom that looked me up and down a few times, maybe he’s not so happy with Mrs Grinchy [Bec] and he’s looking at me a bit too much.”

“I think she’s very basic, and he’s probably more used to a baddie, and she’s not [that].”

Gia exposes Bec and Danny’s lack of sexual chemistry

Once they sat down at the dinner table, Gia didn’t hold back and asked every couple whether they’d slept together, joking that everyone seemed too nice and that she wanted to see a little drama.

Bec and Danny avoided the question; however, after Gia pressed further, they admitted they’d slept together once on their honeymoon. She added that she didn’t think sexual chemistry would necessarily equal a strong connection down the line.

The couple did, however, enjoy teaming up to tease Gia and Scott about their honeymoon in Townsville, a far cry from their honeymoon in Fiji.

The competition between the two women grew increasingly heated, and everyone could see it.

“Everybody in that room noticed the friction between Bec and Gia, there’s so much competition,” Rebecca told the cameras.

Do Danny and Bec regret sleeping together?

When Stella asked Bec and Danny whether they had regrets about getting intimate early on, Bec said no, but Danny remained quiet.

“In the past, I’ve probably been the type of guy to rush into things,” Danny admitted, saying he didn’t want to do that here.

He said that he thinks he’d be better off taking things a bit slower, saying that she’s a good friend.

“Yeah, I don’t reckon he’s into her,” Gia told the MAFS producers, looking very smug.

Danny then used the word “friendship” to describe their relationship, and Bec’s face dropped, but then she said that she had found “a best friend” in her husband.

“I’m happy!” she said, with Danny agreeing, but the other couples didn’t share that view, with Chris saying he didn’t think they were meant for each other.

In the preview for the next episode, it looks like cracks are forming in Gia and Scott’s relationship, so maybe Scott should be nervous about Danny’s alleged wandering eye?
