MAFS fans have watched the feud between Gia Fleur and Bec Zacharia develop over the last two weeks, and if there’s one thing we can see, it’s that these two don’t like each other.

Gia and Bec’s feud began at the Hen’s Night and has continued whenever the women have been in the same room, somehow becoming more and more explosive each time they interact.

On Wednesday, Gia insinuated that Bec’s husband, Danny, wasn’t attracted to her, and Bec, meanwhile, called Gia’s husband, Scott, an “airhead” for forgetting her daughter’s name.

Both women told producers that the other had “pissed” them off, and as a viewer, this was very obvious.

However, new rumours are suggesting the girls’ feud isn’t even real, and the brides have been met with backlash online, with some insinuating they are lying on the show.

Both Gia and Bec have now told WHO the truth.

Reports MAFS Gia and Bec’s feud isn’t real

For a quick recap, Josh Fox from the MAFS Funny podcast pointed out that Bec and Gia’s ‘feud’ might simply be the girls’ way of getting airtime, and they might actually be friends!

“In real life, they’re actually good friends,” Josh said, surprising fans, after investigating the girls’ relationship.

Interestingly, both women recently spoke on the radio, saying they didn’t like each other and that their feud continues throughout the show.

A confused Josh said that when he saw the cast during filming, they were all friendly with each other, but what he’s seen on screen is a different story.

“When they were in Sydney last year filming the entire season, I saw them away from the camera crews and producers, where they were anything but archnemeses – they appeared to be friends!

“And if that then wasn’t confusing enough, I’ve also seen a lot of pictures of Gia and Bec partying together and hanging out since the show wrapped filming in November.

“Literally choosing to now spend their own time… together.”

Josh added that he has seen Bec’s private Instagram Stories where she asks for people to be kind to an “unnamed” castmate that he believes is Gia.

Viewers were stunned by these rumours, with one even calling Bec and Gia “paid actors working to a script”.

Another added, “The whole show is fake.”

“I actually hope they are friends,” wrote a third. “I didn’t think women were still doing the whole ‘mean girl’ thing.”

Bec reveals all the drama between her and Gia is ‘100% real’

We wanted to get to the bottom of this, so we spoke to Gia and Bec ourselves to find out what’s real and what’s fiction.

While Bec didn’t straight out say they’re friends, it definitely sounds like they’re closer than we all thought.

“Look, I know that there’s a big online thing about Gia and I being friends,” she told WHO. “You know, throughout filming, we tried to be friends at the very beginning after the hen’s party.”

“At the dinner party, and then after that, for the duration of filming, we were not friends at all. At the very end, we sort of tried to create a friendship, and then we stopped only a few weeks ago.

“And since [the show’s] come out, we’ve had a little bit of communication. But I don’t hate Gia, right? I just think Gia and I are fundamentally different people, and that’s okay.

“The fights with Gia, everything’s real.”

Gia says editing of the feud between her and Bec is ‘exaggerated’

Interestingly, when we spoke with Gia, she said that she felt that a lot of the fights between her and Bec were “exaggerated”.

“I do think it was very exaggerated, obviously we didn’t get along, but I don’t think it was as extreme as it’s playing out on TV,” she told WHO.

“We do make up a few times, and then you know they kind of wanted us to keep the rivalry going, which I understand… I mean we played into it as well.”

So, would she describe herself and Bec as friends?

“We’re not friends, but we’re not enemies,” she said. “I think we just realise that we’re better off just not being friends, but I don’t really want to give her any drama or like beef.

‘There’s nothing bad between us, I respect her – she had a role to play on the show, I did too, and I feel like we made a pretty entertaining season, but yeah, I’ve nothing bad to say about it, like it was a very pressure cooker environment we both went through a lot.
