The one comment that could ruin MAFS’ Filip and Stella’s relationship

One comment has Stella's friends questioning if Filip is in the experiment for the right reasons?

When new MAFS couple Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite met at their wedding, things appeared to be going very well. Even before they met, Stella’s friends Joe and Leila appeared very happy to see what kind of man the MAFS experts had set her up with.

Filip told the cameras he was “pretty stoked” to see his “bombshell” bride, Stella, who described her groom as “tall, dark and handsome” and a “beautiful, gorgeous man”.

The pair immediately bonded over being early risers and gym junkies, and things were looking very good.

After an emotional ceremony, which saw Stella and Filip share their mutual readiness for commitment, the groom carried his wife out of the ceremony.

Stella’s friends point out Filip’s ‘red flag’

Joe’s eyebrows raised, however, when Filip mentioned (in addition to being a carpenter) that he’s an online coach and a YouTuber.

“I don’t know, I’m getting funny vibes,” Joe said. “There’s something that’s not really gelling with me. He was really emphasising about his YouTube and his online thing.

“Isn’t that something you’d mention in private?” he questioned, adding, “Is he here really for true love? Is he here to elevate his platform?”

Joe added that he hoped he was wrong, but added, “The vibes that I’m getting from him? I’m waving the red flag.”

Things got quite awkward among the guests when a friend of Stella’s, who is also Lithuanian like the bride, told the guests that it’s a tradition in Lithuanian weddings to do a shot of vodka – but Filip doesn’t drink…

It seems that neither Filip’s nor Stella’s friends respected that fact, with many of them urging him to drink the vodka.

Stella, however, assures him there’s “no pressure” to have a shot if he doesn’t drink, and his response is that he coaches other men to be sober, so it wouldn’t be right for him not to practice what he preaches.

Leila noticed this and later told the cameras that she felt the only reason he wasn’t having the shot was that he didn’t want to “look bad” in front of his online followers.

“That little bit didn’t sit well with me,” she said. “I’m questioning things.”

Stella questions Filip’s intentions

Joe and Leila took the bride aside to share their reservations because they didn’t want her to go into the relationship with rose-coloured glasses.

They shared their concerns about whether Filip is looking for love or to increase his online following.

“It was a bit sobering,” Stella said, adding she’s missed or ignored signs from men in the past. “If he’s not here for the right intentions, see you later.”

Things didn’t end there, however, with Leila deciding to take Filip away for a chat to figure out what he really wanted from the marriage.

Filip said he felt misjudged and that he shared the information about his YouTube account only because it was important to him and gave him purpose.

“Prove me wrong,” Leila told him, and he responded, “My intentions are pure,” adding that he would never have brought his parents to the wedding if it weren’t something he really wanted.

“I still have my guard up, we’re not going to have one conversation and he’s in the clear, because you can’t just get me that quick,” Leila told the cameras.

We will consider this case far from closed…
