Just four days ago, former Married At First Sight bride Susie Bradley and NRL player Todd Carney welcomed their first child together into the world – baby boy, Lion Daryl Carney. And now, we’re beginning to enter the blessed stage of Insta baby pics galore.

Last night, Susie, 27, shared a gorgeous candid pic of little baby Lion sleeping on papa Todd’s chest.
Looking all extra comfy, the new member of the Bradley-Carney family sported a mustard yellow onesie and an adorable snoozing expression – eyes shut, mouth wide open and saliva soon dripping and all.
“Mummy and daddy love you so much, baby Lion,” she wrote in the post, tagging her fiancé and Lion’s father, Todd.
Despite his name, Lion isn’t actually a Leo. Born on the 27th of March at 10:50am, Susie’s son is an Aries and came in at seven pounds, nine point four ounces and 50 centimetres. Talk about cute!
In an Instagram post announcing the arrival of their first child, Susie explained the reasoning behind the name.
“A lion’s most common traits are majesty, strength, courage, justice and might,” she explained. “A lion stands for both gentleness and power all rolled into one. A lion in your life enables you to bring positive changes in the lives of yourself, your family and your friends.”
“We love you, our little Lion. You will be one of the greats.”
WATCH: MAFS’s Susie Bradley reveals plans to marry boyfriend Todd Carney
Susie Bradley, who appeared on the sixth season of Married At First Sight with then on-screen husband, Billy Vincent, first met her now-partner Todd on social media in January 2019. The pair went public with their romance that same year as Susie’s time on MAFS was screened across the country.
Last year, Todd proposed to Susie and confessed that in “2021, my greatest gift is going to happen with a little Todd on the way and I’ll marry my best friend.”
While the pair are preparing to settle down, it seems the couple have always wanted to start a family together. Speaking to New Idea in September 2019, Todd said, since loving being Baby’s stepdad, he’s realised that “If Susie and I are ready to commit to it, I’d definitely love to have kids.”
“She has her own father, but while Baby’s in my care, I treat her as if she’s my own,” he explained.
“It definitely makes you realise you have other people to care for when you put yourself in [the] position [of being a parent].”
