It’s a tale as old as time. A small-town girl moves to the big smoke to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer, and after failing to secure said music career after a very short time of trying, lands a job in a seedy pub as a sexy, singing bartender.
While the aspiring performer plotline may not be so original in the 2020s, Coyote Ugly has remained as one of the noughties’ most iconic films – thanks to its supermodel cast, Aussie cameos, and LeAnn Rimes’ timeless soundtrack.
“That story of a young person with a dream who takes a big leap is something we can all relate to,” the film’s leading lady, Piper Perabo, told 9Entertainment.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film, Piper’s fellow Coyotes, Tyra Banks, Bridget Moynahan, and their boss, Maria Bello, reflected on the very real moments behind the scenes.
“That was one of my very first jobs, and I was very intimidated. And Maria was so seasoned and she was running the bar and was also very intimidating,” Bridget told People, to which Maria replied, “Well, that’s how they wrote the character. Each of our characters were so strong in [themselves]. It was really well written.”
Now, as the film celebrates its 25th anniversary, we take a closer look at where the stars of Coyote Ugly are now.
Where are the cast of Coyote Ugly now?

Piper Perabo
Violet
Since her breakout role, the actress has worked consistently between both television and film, most notably on Covert Affairs as a CIA agent. The role even got her a Golden Globe nomination.
Piper shares a daughter with her husband, actor and director Stephen Kay. She most recently starred in Yellowstone.

Adam Garcia
Kevin
Adam Garcia actually scored an audition after a casting director saw him in the Saturday Night Fever musical on London’s West End.
Fast forward to now, and the 51-year-old’s got a brimming resume. Riding in Cars With Boys opposite Drew Barrymore, Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen come to mind.
He’s been married to Nathalia Chubin since 2015 and has two children.

Maria Bello
Lil
Maria, 58, has consistently lit up our screens since Coyote Ugly – and soon, the Emmy nominee will appear in Netflix’s The Waterfront, a family drama from the creator of Dawson’s Creek, Kevin Williamson.

Bridget Moynahan
Rachel
Bridget Moynahan’s lived quite the life both privately and professionally since 2000.
In 2007, she welcomed her son Jack with then-ex-boyfriend Tom Brady, who was in a highly publicised relationship with his now-ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. On screen, she was killing it with a recurring role in Sex and the City, and later And Just Like That.
The 54-year-old also starred in shows like Blue Bloods, and films like The Sum of All Fears and John Wick.

Izabella Miko
Cammie
Izabello Miko’s had roles in films – mostly of the dance genre – since Coyote Ugly, but perhaps her most iconic gig was as the star of The Killers’ ‘Mr Brightside’ music video in 2002.

Tyra Banks
Zoe
It will come as no surprise that Tyra Banks is worth around $150 million. She has, after all, gone on to eclipse her modelling career with her foray into television since Coyote Ugly.
From creating and hosting America’s Next Top Model to her own talk show, the mother-of-one believes her character Zoe went on to bigger and better things, too. “I think she was a very successful lawyer,” the America’s Next Top Model creator said.

Melanie Lynskey
Gloria
Melanie Lynskey, 47, is undoubtedly one of New Zealand’s greatest acting exports.
Post-Coyote Ugly, she starred on shows like Two and a Half Men, The Last of Us, and The Tattooist of Auschwitz.
Her most acclaimed work is for Yellowjackets, for which she has earned two Emmy Awards.
She’s married to actor Jason Ritter, and they share a daughter.

John Goodman
Bill
John Goodman was the biggest star to sign on, and since then, he’s continued to thrive professionally, most noticeably in the Monsters Inc. franchise.
