DJ Havana Brown walked the red carpet at WHO’s Sexiest People Party in an outfit of her own trademark styling.
“This bomber jacket here is a Havana Brown bomber jacket,” she says, modelling her clothes on the red carpet. “And I’m just obsessed with beige right now, so I’m wearing a lot of beige and the whole idea of putting together this outfit was matching the beiges!”
As funky as her clothing and music can be, Brown, 31, admits to one moment of ordinariness — saying ‘yes’ to longtime love and manager Vince Deltito, her fiancé of a year.
“Getting engaged was probably the most conventional thing we’ve ever done,” says Brown with a laugh. “We’ve just been together for so long. It’s been like over 10 years now, so I guess it was sort of something more our parents wanted to do. But it’s really nice. I never thought I would love it so much, being engaged until I was engaged. It felt different. It felt amazing to make that commitment.”
While Brown has appeared on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, her first passion remains music, and last month she released her latest single, “Like Lightning,” which was co-written by Kesha.
“She hasn’t been able to release any music,” Brown says of Kesha, “and this is part of her creation. This is something I am releasing that she created and she wrote and she loved well. I’m very fortunate to be able to work with such great artists.”
