Nick Reiner appeared in court on Wednesday, December 17, after being charged with the horrific murder of his parents, Hollywood director Rob Reiner, and photographer Michele Singer.
The couple were found dead in their Brentwood home by youngest daughter, Romy, who went over to check on them after they failed to answer the door to their masseuse.
The 27-year-old alerted the police after finding her parents knifed to death in bed, and informed them that her “dangerous” brother Nick was living there at the moment and should be considered a suspect.

Romy told police Nick was not there when she arrived, however, he was finally located and arrested at approximately 9:15 PM Sunday.
LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton told CNN that Nick “did not resist arrest or try to run away,” adding that he was taken into custody “without issue.”

Now, for the first time, Nick has appeared in a Los Angeles court and according to the courtroom sketch artist was wearing a blue suicide vest and a sombre expression.

The 32-year-old is said to have offered no sense of remorse during his brief court appearance, instead staring straight ahead whilst he was stood shackled behind a glass wall.
Uttering only three words after allegedly brutally murdering his parents, Nick simply responded to the judge’s question to “waive his right to a speedy trial,” and said: “Yes, your honour.”
What date is Nick Reiner’s arraignment?
Nick is currently facing two counts of first-degree murder for the violent deaths of his legendary parents, and his million-dollar lawyer, Alan Jackson, and prosecutors agreed to push off his arraignment until January 7.
At the request of the defence, Judge Theresa McGonigle also prohibited photos and video to be taken of Nick in court.

Following the 32-year-old’s five-minute appearance, his lawyer pleaded with the public to allow the process to play out and not rush to judgement.
