The stakes are high this week as Australian Idol 2026 reaches it’s final stages. As the three finalists battle it out for the crown and their career, the finale airs over two night, with the winner crowned tonight!
Now, it’s no longer up to judges Marcia Hines, Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands who wins but you, with voting officially open.
And, fans don’t just have the incredible talent of tonight’s live show to look forward to, but also celebrity performances as star power unites to create an incredible finish to an inspiring show.
Who are the finalists?
As always, the singers have been talented and the eliminations emotional, but we’ve finally whittled it down to three deserving finalists: Harlan Goode, Kalani Artis and Kesha Oayda.
Harlan, 18, auditioned for the show while finishing his year 12 exams, proving his commitment paid off.
Kalani is the oldest of the bunch at the ripe old age of 23, and attributed his love of music to his nana Sue, while Kesha, 21, sang with her dad on stage to win a space in the top three last week.
What celebrities are performing during the finals?
Last night, Australian Idol proved just how iconic of a show it really is by bringing out all the best stars and talent.
From Vanessa Amorosi to country superstar Morgan Evans, the finalists stole the stage with solo performances and duets with the celebrity cameos themselves.
Vanessa Amorosi is an Australian singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 1999 and is known for her hits Absolutely Everybody and her hit single Have a Look that reached gold status in Australia.
Vanessa is currently touring Australia to celebrate 25 years in the industry and hit the stage with Australian Idol with finalist Kesha to perform Vanessa’s song Shine.
Australian Idol alumni and legend Anthony Callea also graced the stage with Harlan in a duet of The Prayer, allowing fans to reminisce on Anthony’s iconic 2004 performance that to this day has gone down in history as one of Australian Idol’s best moments.
Australian singer-songwriter Pete Murray, who has 17 ARIA nominations and has produced chart-topping albums like Feeler (2003) and hit singles such as Better Days, joined Kalani for a soulful rendition of his song Better Days with Pete commenting afterwards on how Kalani is “the read deal,” telling him that “there’s a big future” for him.
Country star Morgan Evans also graced the stage for a special solo performance on Monday night, showcasing his new song Letting You Go to a national audience.
