The pair, who were married to Lauren and Ryan, respectively, during the season, had been teasing their relationship for months and had publicly ‘debuted’ their romance during the final MAFS dinner party.

As the episode aired nationally, Clint proposed to Jacqui during a Q&A session hosted by Megan Pustetto at the event.

“We signed for Married At First Sight to get married… So, I’ve got one question for you,” Clint asked before pulling out a box and getting on one knee.

“I cannot believe it. I  didn’t think I’d get engaged before I was 30, but now it’s happened when I’m about to turn 30 in less than 48 hours! I am so excited,” Jacqui told Woman’s Day at the event.

The proposal comes after a juicy final dinner party, which saw Jacqui’s ex-husband Ryan find out about their relationship. While the groom didn’t take the news well, Clint’s former on-screen wife Lauren is reportedly happy for the new couple.

“I explained to her about Jacqui and the relationship we now have, and she was very supportive,” Clint told Nine.

“I literally feel like I’ve found my soulmate,” Jacqui, who has since relocated to Tasmania to live with her beau, told the publication. “I admire Clint so much, and he seems to appreciate me for exactly who I am and everything I’ve accomplished. He makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the room… he’s the most adoring partner I’ve ever met.”

“I’ve found someone who I think I can seriously spend the rest of my life with.”
