Married At First Sight’s Lauren Hall and Clint Rice have made headlines for their explosive stint on the show, but fans have one major question: are they still together?
Given recent revelations—including Clint’s new romance with another MAFS bride, Jacqui Burfoot—it’s safe to say their love story won’t have a fairytale ending. Now, as their relationship finally comes to an end on TV, here’s everything we know.

Are Lauren and Clint still together?
Even when the pair were ‘together’ on the show, it was pretty clear that Lauren and Clint had officially called it quits. In a shocking mid-show twist, fellow-MAFS bride Jacqui Burfoot went rogue on social media, confirming she was now dating Clint (which subsequently confirmed that her relationship with Ryan Donnelly will also be short-lived).
According to Yahoo Lifestyle, Clint and Jacqui grew close towards the end of filming but only made their romance official after the season wrapped. Jacqui has since quit her job and moved to Tasmania to be with Clint, openly flaunting their relationship on social media. Their new romance reportedly shocked their co-stars, leading to them being “iced out” of the MAFS cast group.

What happened to Lauren and Clint on MAFS?
Lauren and Clint’s relationship has already faced several challenges throughout the experiment, but it’s reached boiling point during the couple’s retreat. Clint revealed that the retreat was filled with constant fighting and “fake” drama from their castmates, leading him and Lauren to attempt an unprecedented escape—via helicopter.
“We even looked into getting a helicopter to take us out of there,” Clint admitted in an interview with Daily Mail Australia. “That’s how badly we wanted to leave.”
Although their plan didn’t pan out, the couple made the controversial decision to boycott the next dinner party, choosing to film a private one in their apartment instead. This refusal to play along with production reportedly frustrated the show’s producers, who tried everything to keep them engaged in the drama.

Why Did Lauren and Clint break up?
The tensions between Lauren and Clint were evident as the season progressed, but their decision to leave the show wasn’t the straightforward end many fans were expecting.
As they made an ubrupt exit during a tense commitment ceremony, the couple revealed they were “interested” in seeing if they would work outside the experiment.
“Sure, I hope that it does blossom into something,” Lauren said at the time.
But, as the episode hit the air, Clint spoke with Nine to confirm the pair had since officially ended things.
“Reflecting on my time in the experiment and some of the behaviours that [Lauren] demonstrated, I was just like, ‘You know what, I don’t think this is my person’,” he admitted.”This is not someone I want to keep putting in, and doing everything I can, to make it work.”
