It’s been almost two years since David and Emily found love on Farmer Wants a Wife and now, the couple have confirmed that they are now husband and wife.
While the pair has yet to share any snaps from their ceremony, in late October 2024, Emily shared a few photos of her and David on a romantic getaway alongside the caption, “Holidaying with the love of my life as Mr & Mrs.”
Despite not sharing any further details about their wedding day, Emily later tagged a selection of photos at Spicers Peak Resort – a wedding venue in Maryvale, Queensland.

Prior to teasing their wedding on social media, David and Emily welcomed fans into their impromptu ceremony at teacher Emily’s primary school – dubbed by the students as “Miss Emily’s Surprise Garbage Bag Wedding.”
“Felt ALL the love today from students, staff, & parents at my primary school. You all went above and beyond – feeling very grateful for the community I have found,” Emily wrote.
News of the couple’s nuptials comes just over one year after David and Emily announced their engagement.
“Incredibly proud to announce this Farmer has found his Wife,” David wrote, with the couple taking to Instagram to share the happy news.
“My person for life x. Love you,” Emily captioned her announcement alongside an adorable video compilation of their proposal.
The couple marked the occasion with a sentimental nod to their time on Farmer Wants A Wife, with David popping the question in Mudgee’s Evamor Valley; the location of their first 24-hour solo date of the series.

During their time on the 2023 season of Farmer Wants a Wife, David and Emily quickly became a fan-favourite match, with the couple immediately hitting it off during their first double date to David’s childhood primary school.
“Straight away, Emily’s got that funny, natural, bubbly energy that the kids warm to,” he told the camera, with the special education aide winning the hearts of the classroom.
After nearly two months of getting to know each of the ladies on his Pozieres apple farm, David chose Emily over fellow fan-favourite Lorelei during the tense final episode.
“When I’m with Emily, I always feel that smile coming on my face constantly,” David shared before his final decision, adding, “I think it’s fair to say that when we started this adventure, neither of us knew what could unfold.”
“Emily, you are the most genuine person I know… I know you haven’t had many serious relationships, but starting today, this can be your first, and hopefully last,” said David.

Shortly after the final episode aired, David and Emily gave fans the first of many post-show updates during their interview with 7Life.
“Everything has just gone really well,” shared Emily. “I went home for a week or so [after filming] and then after that, I started moving my things and I moved here [to David’s farm] in early January.”
Farmer David also revealed to the publication how the Pozieres community supported them in keeping their relationship under wraps.
“There’s been a really positive understanding from our local community about what the process is,” he explained.
“Everyone that we’re involved with, or know, that has obviously found out, has been really good about it…So it’s meant that Emily can feel relaxed going back to work and things like that, which made the whole transition smoother for the both of us I think.”
