Gogglebox Australia star Jad Nehmetallah has announced his engagement to girlfriend Sarah!
“From the minute I met Sarah, I knew she was the one. We bring out the best in each other, and I can’t picture my life without her,” Jad shared in a statement, with the Australian TV star popping the question at the picturesque Castle Elvira in Puglia, Italy.
The couple, who met through mutual friends, have described their romance as a true ‘love at first sight’ connection, and in a romantic nod to their relationship, Jad’s proposal came in the form of a heartfelt love note.
“I’ve waited 38 years for this moment however, with you, it has felt like a day. Today, it’s time we stand together on this rooftop, with you as my queen. I can’t wait for us to do life together,” the note read, with the couple’s proposal surrounded by flowers and candles – topped off with background music from a cellist.
While some fans may be surprised to see the long-standing Gogglebox bachelor finally pop the question, followers of the couple had recently speculated that a proposal was on the cards, with fans keeping a close eye on the pair’s social media as they travelled through Italy.
“So extra!! A drone and film director. Definitely gonna be a proposal,” commented one fan, with Jad sharing a cinematic teaser of their big day less than 48 hours before the announcement,
“That Italian magic never fails. Never stop loving each other and life,” added another.
