Channel 10 has announced the first batch of hungry Masterchef 2019 contestants…and there’s even a Prince Harry lookalike!
NSW travel agent Jess Hall, Prince Harry ‘lookalike’ Tim Bone, microbrewer Kyle Lyons and IT consultant Sandeep Pandit are among the first group of culinary hopefuls who will be under the watchful eyes of judges Matt Preston, George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan.
So, let’s take a look at some of season 11’s contestants.
Jess Hall, 28

The travel agent from NSW says she’s “all or nothing” and wears her heart on her sleeve and is hoping her signature scallop dish wins over the judges.
Tim Bone, 33

He may look like a certain member of the royal family, but Rim is actually cooking and gardening educator from Victoria who loves nothing better than a gourmet toasted sandwich.
Kyle Lyons, 29

Kyle has a passion for brewing and dreams of owning his own microbrewery one day.
Sandeep Pandit, 37

Sandeep’s signature dish is more than just a plate of food, it tells of his family’s emigration to Australia from Kashmir. “My parents worked very hard to make ends meet, so it was by necessity that I learned how to cook,” the IT consultant says.
