In a face-off between fan favourites Simone and Viviana and gatecrashers Caz and Fergus, the top two teams served up some of their best work for their final cook-off in Kitchen HQ.

While the judges’ tastebuds may have been singing both teams’ praises, only one duo could be crowned the winner, with Simone and Viviana taking home the crown for My Kitchen Rules 2024.

Donning their aprons for the final time, Simone and Viviana wowed judges Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel for the final time, plating a four-course Italian cuisine spectacle of lobster and guanciale taco, cappellacci fagioli e cozze, and lamp rump with pecorino zabaione and asparagus – topped off with Paris-Brest with hazelnut praline cream for dessert.

In keeping with their stellar run of form, the judges were quick to sing the praises of her culinary creations, with guest judge and MasterChef legend Julie Goodwin proclaiming, “It was a joy to eat your food tonight.”

Reflecting on their final menu, Simone shared, “We decided to bring this to the grand final because we want to serve dishes that haven’t been seen before. We want to bring innovation.”

Fortunately for Simone and Viviana, their attention to detail and bold flavour choices were enough to tip the scoreboard in the favour, with the duo being proclaimed winners with a final score of 27/30 compared to Caz and Fergus’ 25/30.
