The new season of The Block has been dramatic, to say the least. This year, the show headed to the picturesque Phillip Island, where five couples began transforming an abandoned resort into luxury holiday homes. But, it hasn’t been smooth sailing as cheating scandals, relationship drama and walkouts have steered fan’s attention away from the renovation.
Are Kristian and Mimi still together?
As the season reaches it’s final weeks, a ‘flirting scandal’ erupted after Kylie’ to (briefly) leave the show.’s husband Brad admitted to flirting with Mimi.
Whilst Kylie and Brad’s relationship status is currently unknown – Kylie left the show briefly and is not talking to Brad – the audience’s attention is now focused on Mimi and Kristian.
Despite being at the centre of the conflict, a recent episode of The Block saw Mimi confront the controversy, admitting she was surprised to hear of Kylie’s departure.
“All I know is that Kylie woke up and she went into bed – that was when it started, and that’s when I left,” she told Scotty. “It’s unfortunate that Kylie overheard, which led her to leaving which was not anyone’s intention.”
“I don’t think Mimi should have any regrets about going out and having a good time,” added Kristian. “You literally haven’t done nothing wrong, you were just sitting there having a conversation. It’s not like you were flirting back.”
Who are Kristian and Mimi?
Kristian, 31, and Mimi, 28, met officially at a group fitness Christmas party in 2020, after previously training together at the same gym. Their whirlwind romance culminated in a spectacular wedding in Adelaide last November, which went viral on TikTok. While Kristian is laidback and easygoing, Mimi is a perfectionist with a keen eye for detail.
Though relatively new to renovation, having only tackled their own Adelaide home, Kristian and Mimi joined The Block, eager to showcase their style. “We like lots of different textures and modern contemporary designs,” Kristian explained. “We want to bring that same flair to The Block and surprise everyone.” The couple’s fresh approach is sure to stand out in the competition.
Kristian, an electrician by trade, has spent the past 14 years working for the same boss, whom he describes as a “champion.” He sees The Block as a potential stepping stone towards starting his own business. “I’m looking forward to gaining confidence and experience,” Kristian said. His positive nature and unwavering smile will be crucial as he faces the challenges ahead.
Mimi, a restaurant manager at her family’s successful Vietnamese eatery, Ba Khan, has always dreamed of being in front of the camera. The Block represents an exciting opportunity for her to step into the spotlight. “I’m proud to work for my family and help build their empire,” Mimi said. “This is a chance to pursue my dreams and see where it leads.”
