The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1 Part 2 review

The relative levity of A Midwinter’s Tale dispensed with, the second half of Season 1 of The Chilling Adventure of Sabrina gets back to the pressing matter  at hand – the consequences of Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) signing the Dark Lord’s book. Watch the trailer below.

And it appears the teenage witch is ready to embrace her dark side as she enrols full-time at the Academy of Unseen Arts and leaves Baxter High behind. That means spending more time with warlock love interest Nick (Gavin Leatherwood) instead of ex Harvey (Ross Lynch).

Although it seems Harvey is otherwise occupied now anyway. Every teen series needs a love triangle, and  as Sabrina’s becomes a love square, it holds great potential.

As the show gets deeper into its mythology – what are the Dark Lord’s plans for Sabrina? – it takes an increasingly dark tone, which is matched across the board, with second-string stories like Susie’s (Lachlan Watson) decision to identify as Theo coming with their own sinister undercurrents.
