Public relations powerhouse Roxy Jacenko has needed to draw on every ounce of her PR know-how for her own brand in recent years. The reason? Her husband and father of her two children Oliver Curtis who, in 2016, did a stint in jail for insider trading.
But while the path of their love has been rocky the pair have held firm, it begs the question of what’s held them together?

How did Roxy Jacenko and Oliver Curtis get together?
When Jacenko and Curtis first met, the investment banker was engaged to his “childhood sweetheart” of five years, Hermione Underwood.
According to Annette Sharp’s biography, Blonde Ambition: Roxy Jacenko Unfiltered, Curtis was 24 and Jacenko 29 when the pair crossed paths at a charity event.
Underwood went home early and shortly afterwards Curtis and she split.
“The wedding was called off and the whole Curtis family was kind of in shock. They loved Hermione. They still do,” a family friend claimed in Sharp’s biography.
Within months Curtis and Jacenko were engaged and by February 2011, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child, a daughter named Pixie, now 12.
When did Roxy Jacenko get married?
In what was dubbed the wedding of the year, Curtis and Jacenko wed in a lavish ceremony at Quay restaurant on Sydney harbour in March 2012.
Costing a reported $250,000 Jacenko’s Vera Wang dress was flown in from Los Angeles on a first-class seat and her humble wedding gift from Curtis was a white Ferrari convertible.

The pair went on to buy a $6.6 million Woollahra house in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs and their fairytale was complete when they welcomed their second child, Hunter, now 9, in May 2014.
Is Roxy Jacenko still married to Oliver Curtis?
Life didn’t continue exactly as planned for the cashed-up newlyweds and in 2016 Curtis was jailed for a year for insider trading.
“I thought I was marrying Richie Rich. Richie Rich ended up in jail,” Jacenko told WHO later.
And while the cat was away…Jacenko had a play. She hooked up in a very public way with ex-boyfriend, Nabil Gazal, and in 2017 photos emerged of her kissing Gazal at a party, with guests looking on.

“It was a very challenging five years of marriage,” she told news.com.au later.
“We were at each other’s throats, so when he went for 12 months, I set up a life for myself and the children and that was it. I thought that would be the end of it [marriage].
“He [Ollie] knew that as well. He didn’t want his marriage to end, but he was aware of the circumstances and that it hadn’t been easy.”
But when Curtis emerged from prison Jacekno and the kids were there to meet him, whisking him away on a private jet.
Divorce proceedings were put on hold. Forgiveness was felt all round and in July 2017 Curtis popped the question for the second time, surprising his wife with a hotel room filled with gold balloons that spelled out:
“Marry me? Again.”
Did Roxy get married again?
While Jacenko deemed a second wedding a very unnecessary expense the couple’s relationship went from strength to strength.

On their 10 year anniversary Curtis posted a photo of him kissing his blonde wife to his Instagram with the caption:
“10 years married to this this crazy girl… never a dull moment. Odds were against us but I am betting we will get to the half century at least. Love you to the 🌙 and back.”
Why did Roxy move to Singapore?
Following his release from jail Curtis started working for his father’s tech start-up in Tasmania and then relocated to Singapore for a start-up there.
The long distance quickly became a problem for the couple, with divorce and separation rumours doing the rounds. In June 2023 Jacenko announced her big move.
“It was a decision that realistically needed to be made in the best interests of the kids and family. Doing it solo is not easy for any parent with kids – I take my hat off to those that do it on their own,” she told Mamamia.

It also meant she could start a new life of relative anonymity, something she said she craved.
“I certainly don’t think I am famous here, maybe just ‘That Girl’ so going to Singapore and not worrying about what people think about myself, and my family for that matter, is appealing,” she said.
The couple certainly still look loved up and in August Jacenko, 44, shared a cute video montage for Curtis’s 39th birthday.
“Happy Birthday to our best friend, baseball cap connoisseur and superyacht encyclopaedia on legs,” she wrote. “How are you 39 to think you were just 26 when Pix was born!!!!!!”
She also shared that, while their relationship isn’t a conventional one, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I mean, I think no marriage is perfect. We’re a good team is what I’d say,” she told the Daily Mail.
It’s the story of love and drama that just keeps giving!
