With her collection of more than 30 super-exxy Hermès Birkin bags, a recently renovated home in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, and a wildly successful PR company, Sweaty Betty, it’s hard to believe Roxy Jacenko could be short on cash.

But that’s precisely the reason the PR maven has given for the latest round of delays on tying the knot with her long-time husband Oliver Curtis.

And, no, that’s not a typo – the pair married for the first time in 2012 to the tune of $250,000!

Speaking to Confidential, Roxy revealed:

For me, another wedding is another expense. I’d rather pay my mortgage.”

“[Oliver] would love to get married again and I know he’d probably like to set it up next year in Europe,” she admitted, but added that tightening their belts is the priority for the pair – who have two kids together, eight-year-old daughter Pixie and son Hunter, five.

“The most important thing for us right now is to build our property portfolio,” Roxy explained.

The family famously endured a particularly tough time when Oliver was jailed for one year for conspiring to commit insider trading in 2016.

“After his trial, we lost a lot financially and in property,” Roxy told Confidential.

“So our focus is to rebuild our life and for me, another wedding is another expense. I’d rather pay my mortgage. Everything triples in marriage.”

Oliver popped the question for the second time in 2017, after finishing up his time at Cooma Correctional Centre, surprising his wife with a hotel room filled with gold balloons that spelled out:

“Marry me? Again.”

When the first episode of the PR guru’s reality series I Am Roxy aired during Channel Ten’s pilot week, the nation was given a glimpse into the couple’s relationship like never before.

And they recently opened up to WHO about about what goes on when the cameras are turned off.

“We’re best friends,” Roxy revealed. “I’m very happy with that. There’s longevity in that. For me, there wasn’t longevity in having someone I’m overly obsessed with and want to be with every second of the day.”
