The season, which will span 12 episodes, will follow Cassian’s journey in the four crucial years leading up to the events of Rogue One, with each trio of episodes covering a significant year in Cassian’s transformation.
“The beauty of this second season is that you can go straight to watch Rogue One, and it’s going to have a different meaning. It’s going to look different and feel different,” series star Diego Luna teased at the 2024 Star Wars fan event.

Offering a bit more insight into Cassian’s journey through Season 2, Diego added, “He’s still a very conflicted man – someone that knows that he has to be part of this movement, that the cause means something, that there’s an opportunity for him to be part of something better to bring change.”
