Yes, Watching You is an upcoming Stan Original series!
But it was inspired by J.P. Pomare’s novel, The Last Guests.
The book follows Lina, a paramedic, and her husband Cain, a former soldier.
The couple are under severe pressure; since Cain returned from active duty, their finances are tight and starting a family has become more difficult than they expected.
But when Lina inherits an old lake house, they decide to rent it out on weekends as a way to ease their money troubles.
At first the plan seems harmless, even promising. The house is beautiful, guests are keen, and the extra income is welcome. But as strangers come and go, Lina begins to feel uneasy.
Someone is observing them – monitoring both their everyday routines and their most private moments…
What’s the series about?
The series is slightly different to the book; Watching You follows Lina, a risk-taking paramedic whose life unravels after a reckless one night stand with a stranger is secretly filmed.
As the footage becomes a weapon against her and she’s pulled into a tense web of blackmail, betrayal and deadly secrets, Lina races to expose the voyeur stalking her before it’s too late.
Who stars in the series?
Aisha Dee – of The Bold Type, Apple Cider Vinegar, and The Saddle Club fame – stars in Watching You as Lina.
