WHO: How are you feeling after last night’s episode?

RYAN JONES: It’s been crazy. A crazy morning.

WHO: Are you happy with how you were portrayed on the show?

RYAN: I wouldn’t say happy. I’m definitely not shying away from the words that I said because I definitely did say those.  I’m up front and I’m honest, that’s just the type of person I am. But I think there’s a lot more depth to the conversations and I think a lot of them got portrayed out of context which is to be expected heading into a show like this. I guess the hardest thing for me was watching my family having to read the comments and my friends knowing that that really wasn’t the type of person I was.

WHO: I was on Twitter last night…

RYAN: Twitter is the worst out of the lot of them!

WHO: Well there were a few people who were calling you a hypocrite for saying you don’t like women who swear, but then swearing yourself on last night’s episode. What are your thoughts on that?

RYAN: Look, the conversation I had with Sophie about the swearing thing, it’s been quite publicised throughout the papers in her career that she’s a bit of a bogan and she’s got a bit of a potty mouth. Me and my dry sense of humour gets me into a little bit of trouble again. That conversation was really lighthearted and I guess me being a bit sarcastic and that dry sense of humour. So that got a bit taken out of context.

I grew up on a job site and the locker rooms, on the footy field and I certainly swear, there’s a time and a place for it like there is for everything but I don’t think too much into it.

WHO: Do you still agree that Sophie isn’t the girl for you?

RYAN: Yeah look. It was quite clear that we struggled to get that chemistry. And you know what? That’s totally fine. Not everybody is made for everybody. And that’s why we did things like this to find that out. Only one person is going to be able to win her heart, so i guess you could say there are 20 other blokes that weren’t right for Sophie.

WHO: Jarrod has come across as really into Sophie, and he’s been called a ‘stage 5 clinger’ and ‘desperate’. What’s he really like?

RYAN: Jarrod made it quite apparent early on that he was very into Sophie. I commend him for being able to talk about it openly from day dot. He has mentioned in the past that he falls really easily. if you see something that you like and see someone that you’re into, go for it mate. I’m never going to knock a bloke down for having a crack. Sophie has obviously got a bit of a connection with him, so best of luck to them.

WHO: Are you dating someone now?

RYAN: It’s early stages, but I’m back on the dating scene.

WHO: Is she somebody new or from your past?

RYAN: It’s sort of someone I’ve known for a while but yeah, never really thought of anything so yeah.

WHO: Who do you think will win?

RYAN: Stu. And maybe Apollo.

WHO: What do you think about the age gap with Apollo (24) and Sophie (37).

RYAN: Age gap obviously doesn’t worry me at all, because I don’t think people should be discriminated on their age. If someone has a connection age shouldn’t be a factor.

WHO: Would you consider being the Bachelor?

RYAN: No, I don’t think so. It’s quite apparent that i didn’t manage to find love in thee circumstances. For me it’s the time frame it’s unrealistic for me to be able to develop a connection so no Bachelor for me. I’ve just got to find love in the natural way.

WHO: I have to ask, who sabotaged Jarrod’s pot plant?

RYAN: I have no idea.

WHO: Are you curious to be able to find out who did next week?

RYAN: I’d love to be able to find out. Do they find out next week?

WHO: It comes up again next week…

RYAN: Yeah it will be interesting, it will be interesting.

WHO: Are you going to keep watching the show?

RYAN: I guess I’ll try to. But I’m out now and I’ve set my own building company up and I’ve got lots of things I need to put my time into and sitting on Instagram and posting photos about it, it’s very time consuming. So I guess it’s the end of the road for me, but best of luck to them and I can’t wait to find out who Sophie chooses.
