The Block fans have had many complaints this season. They’ve grumbled about everything from the contestants having their hair down while on-site to the use of AI, but there was one thing they noticed and were actually excited about.
Deborra-Lee Furness.
In Chantel and Wyatt’s house.
Looking out the window.
Wait, what? Let’s backtrack for a second.
On Sunday night’s episode, the contestants were judged for the final time by Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Dave Franklin as they scored their landscaping. However, fans were sure they spotted a familiar face in House 2 looking out of the window.
They were convinced they had seen the one and only Deborra-Lee Furness — A-list celebrity and renowned Australian actress.
Why do fans think Deborra-Lee Furness was on The Block?
Basically, the camera zoomed in on a woman’s face peering out a window in House 2 and the comments sections were quickly flooded with fans believing it was Deborra-Lee.
“Did anyone notice Debra Ferness, Hugh Jackman ex wife?” one viewer wrote, while another admits they thought the same thing while watching the episode.
“Yep, she was on the upper floor of H ouse 2 I think. Camera zeroed in on her face. She has a house in the area!”
Other than seeing someone who looked just like the actress, spotting her in those areas isn’t too far-fetched, since she lived in Mount Eliza for many years.
She has personal ties to the suburb, as her late mum lived and worked there. She and her ex-husband Hugh Jackman had previously inspected and had ties to luxury real estate in the area, and there have been several sightings of her since the high-profile separation of their marriage.
Fans needed no more convincing; she had infiltrated The Block and they were delighted by the crossover.
Sorry to burst your bubble
Despite it being likely Deborra-Lee would be in the area and the lookalike, we’re sad to inform you it wasn’t her.
WHO understands there is no record of the A-lister attending the site or being on the show.
So there you have it, you can put that back on your bingo card.
