While their Block competitors were deep in the chaos of Guest Suite Week, Adam and Jolene were enjoying the perks of their latest room reveal win. The South Australian farmers were whisked away on their getaway at Jackalope before heading out for a fancy dinner at Doot Doot Doot with host Scotty Cam.
The menu featured smoked eel, caviar and all the fine-dining trimmings you’d expect from a very swanky night out.
There was just one problem. Adam and Jolene apparently forgot to change out of their Block work clothes. Yep, while their competitors were back on site getting stuck into another week of construction, the pair were dining in luxury… still in their orange hi-vis.
And, of course, fans had some thoughts.

One viewer wasn’t particularly impressed, writing, “Anyone else disappointed as to how Adam and Jolene went to the posh dinner in their work clothes? I’m not a particularly snazzy dresser, but going out to dinner deserves clean smartish clothes.”
Another took the much more relaxed approach of, “Who cares what other people wear? Who are we to judge?”
Others, however, weren’t quite so diplomatic.
“Country bumpkins,” one viewer declared. And another summed up their confusion rather perfectly, writing, “Wow, who goes to dinner in hi-vis. We are no longer on the farm.”
To be fair, Adam and Jolene have spent weeks on The Block essentially living in work clothes, so it’s not exactly surprising they didn’t think to change into a dinner outfit.
Was the hi-vis really dinner appropriate? Probably not. But considering they’d just won a luxury getaway, we think they’re entitled to enjoy it however they liked. Even if that meant doing it in hi-vis.
