Despite only appearing in two episodes of The Challenge Australia, Audrey Kanongara managed to make quite an impression during her time on the show.

Fans were taken aback when Audrey and fellow competitor Ciarran Stott, who both had partners back home, were shown stepping into a shower together where the Bachelor alum said they “fooled around”.

Speaking to WHO following her exit from the show, Audrey attests that the context of the interaction is missing as it was condensed for TV. In reality, according to the evictee, “a lot more that happened” and “there were tears”.

“They didn’t really air the lead up to what happened,” the Love Island alum explains.

“It wasn’t just a spontaneous thing. There were obviously impressions that we were giving each other prior. So there’s always a reason why things happen.

“Even just the way that they depicted me saying ‘It was innocent’, you know? And then he says, ‘Oh, we fooled around’ so everyone thinks I’m a liar. Whereas that was literally one second out of a conversation we had.

“I really struggled to feel like I’ve been treated fairly when you get painted as a villain.”

Audrey and Ciarran’s chemistry, however, was short lived as the 22-year-old confesses they no longer stay in contact.

“We do not speak at all,” she reveals. “When everything happened, even though we were both in the same situation, I felt like I was consoling him. I was making sure he was okay.

“And I’m like, You are almost 30 years old and you’re acting like a child. I’m sitting here, 22, youngest in the house and I’m trying to make you feel better.

“And the girls came up to me and were like, ‘Why do you even care?’ And I was like, ‘You know what? You’ve got a point. I don’t know why I care.’ I should be worrying about myself.”

As for future hook ups, Audrey claims that the only flirting she witnessed in the house was between herself and Ciarran.

Nevertheless, we have seen leaks of Konrad Bien-Stephen and Megan Marx sharing a smooch in a spa, so it looks like more contestant romances are forthcoming.

Now that she’s gone, the youngest contestant thinks the “drama” has, for the most part, gone with her. But she does think Cyrell Paule will be one to watch in this department.

“Cyrell speaks her mind. She’s going to give everybody a taste of their own medicine,” she says.

As for what’s next, the Love Island alum is definitely interested in dipping her foot further into the reality TV pool.

“I would definitely love to do more,” the star enthuses, adding that while she would consider another season of The Challenge, she would “love to do something else a bit more enjoyable”.

“In the sense that they’re less focused on drama,” Audrey clarifies.

“I feel like even though this was a huge physical challenge, they definitely were catering for the drama. We were all just like having fun drinking and obviously when you’re drinking mistakes happen.”
