In a new teaser trailer for The Crown, Netflix has finally revealed when the third season of the award-winning series will be released.
The upcoming season is said to follow the lives of Prince Charles and Princess Anne and details how the British royal family adapted to the changes occurring in the 1960s and 1970s.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer for the next chapter of the British royal family’s story.
Netflix has announced that the official release date will be November 17, 2019.
The streaming giant suggested that the third season of The Crown would be set in the 60s’ and 70s’ after announcing that Jason Watkins would play Prime Minister Harold Wilson (who was in office from 1964-1970 and 1974-1976).
According to Variety, the producers later confirmed that season three would cover the years between 1963 and 1977.
The season will see the demise of Princess Margaret‘s marriage to Lord Snowdon, as well as the attempted kidnapping of Princess Anne, and Prince Charles’ 1969 investiture ceremony where he was named the Prince of Wales.
Netflix has also released a series of stills for the upcoming season of The Crown.
Showrunner Peter Morgan is famously recasting the entire show for season three.
Olivia Colman will be taking over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II.
The Oscar-winner dished on the third season while appearing on Good Morning America in February.
“We’ve just finished season three a week ago, and when I go back I’ve got to do some reshoots. We start again with season four in August.”
Tobias Menzies will play an older Prince Philip (replacing Matthew Robert Smith) and Erin Doherty will play Princess Anne.
Acclaimed actress Helena Bonham Carter will be playing Princess Margaret, and Ben Daniels will be playing Lord Snowdon (also known as Antony Armstrong-Jones).
Josh O’Connor will be playing Prince Charles and Emerald Fennell will play his love interest, Camilla Parker Bowles (the second wife of Prince Charles).
While Emma Corrin is set to play Lady Diana Spencer, the producers told Vanity Fair that Princess Diana won’t enter the storyline until season four of The Crown.
“Diana’s not in this season,” casting director Nine Gold said.
“When we do get to her, that is going to be pretty interesting.”
