When did Season 3 of Tell Me Lies come out?

Thankfully, fans didn’t have to wait as long as they did between Seasons 1 and 2, as Season 1 premiered in October 2022, followed by Season 2 in September 2024.

Per Hulu’s official synopsis of Season 3, Lucy and Stephen have rekindled their tumultuous romance in time for spring semester at Baird College.

“While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy with which she wants nothing to do. Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen’s friends to face their own destructive behaviors. As scandalous secrets fester around campus, vicious consequences threaten Lucy and everyone in her circle.”

What will Season 3 of Tell Me Lies be about?

Grace, who plays Lucy, shared with E! News that the new season “feels like the peak of all these young people’s worst decisions.”

At the end of Season 2, we saw the build-up of tension in Stephen and Lucy’s long-running toxic relationship, all while Bree and Evan’s wedding is about to begin.

Just moments before Bree walks down the aisle, Stephen drops a bombshell and texts Bree an eight-year-old audio recording of Evan confessing to cheating on her with Lucy at a college party. Yikes.

We are left with a million questions and WTF!? moments like; How did Stephen end up engaged to Lucy’s ex-bestie, Lydia, in the later timeline? What’s next for Bree and Oliver’s (and now Marianne’s) college affair? Can Pippa find justice for her assault? And how will the shocking death of Wrigley’s brother, Drew, play out?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackson White, who plays Stephen, shared his hopes for his character’s future.

“I wonder if it would be cool to see Stephen completely stuck with nowhere to run to, nowhere to go. I don’t even know what that means, like no method of manipulating his way out of something. And then also, Meaghan said that there was an idea of a threesome with Wrigley and if that came up, I wouldn’t push against it. But we’ll see, fingers crossed.”
