Alessandra Rampolla was born in Puerto Rico
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Alessandra built her professional foundation in the United States, earning a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (as well as several further qualifications in sexology and sexual education).
Her early career blended clinical work with media. She began appearing on television in Puerto Rico discussing sex and relationships, and went on to feature on programs such as the international Emmy-nominated School For Husbands in Latin America and Sex Hospital in the UK.

She has also been a regular guest on shows like Dr Phil and hosted her own radio show, bringing expert relationship insight to audiences worldwide.
Alessandra is also a bestselling author of not one, not two, but FIVE books on love, intimacy and relationships.

She was previously married to businessman John Hernandez, marrying in 2007 before the couple divorced in 2011.
Discussing the end of that relationship, she said: “There was no drama between us, we love each other and we are friends but at a certain point, life just took us on a different path.”
