Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron has been laying low in the celeb capital of Australia, but now details have emerged about his new Byron Bay girlfriend.
Over the weekend, the High School Musical star, 32, was snapped with his rumoured new girlfriend, 25, at a cafe in Byron Bay’s Lennox Head.
So who is the woman in question? Meet Vanessa Valladares – a former waitress at the Byron Bay General Store & Cafe, whom he reportedly met in July.
It’s believed that the brunette beauty, who has modelled for RVCA and Spell, quit her waitressing job and is now staying with the Hollywood hunk at Belongil Beach.
The couple have been spotted holding hands and grabbing takeaway food together and were also photographed leaving a plane in Ballina following a skiing holiday in Thredbo.
“Zac met Ness earlier in the summer. They started hanging out in July and recently took a ski trip together,” a source told PEOPLE.
“You can tell that they are having fun. She spends a lot of time at this house.”
Naturally, Vanessa’s Instagram has been flooded with comments asking her about her rumoured romance with the Baywatch actor.
“You are a beauty. And so very lucky for getting a hug from Zac Efron,” one cheekily commented on a snap uploaded in July.
“You are so beautiful. Your boyfriend must adore you,” teased another.
Zac flew into Australia right before international borders closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and even though had a return flight to Los Angeles booked last month, the actor cancelled it when his tourist visa was extended from three to 12 months.
“He was only planning to fly home if he had to,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“He didn’t really want to go back to America.”
Vanessa Valladares, of course, isn’t the first Vanessa that Zac has dated.
The 32-year-old famously dated his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens from 2006 to 2010, but the two “completely lost contact” after calling it quits.
Zac has also been romantically linked to stars including model Sami Miró and actresses Michelle Rodriguez, Lily Collins and Alexandra Daddario.
Most recently, Zac dated his Bad Neighbours co-star Halston Sage at the beginning of the year, but it appears he’s well and truly moved on.
With Zac Efron being in Australia, many were convinced that the Hollywood A-lister was on this year’s season of The Masked Singer.
Even panellist Jackie O hinted that the actor could be behind one of the masks in a chat with Who back in August.
“All I know is that, because of the pandemic, we won’t have any international stars on the show – unless they’re already in Australia. I mean, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are here, right? So is Zac Efron. So you never know who might turn up,” she said.
