We’re halfway through The Masked Singer Australia, and the competition is fierce.
But what’s even more intense is the burning desire to figure out who’s under every mask before they’re revealed… and another Aussie star may have just let slip that she’s been getting around is a pink fuzzy costume of late!
WATCH: This is the unmasking we did not see coming!
Speaking to her fellow radio hosts on Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty show, Kate Ritchie skirted around the issue when the boys pressed her about Dave Hughes’ guess that she might be the celeb hiding under the Monster mask.
“So you thought it was me?” she questioned as the trio listened to playback from the night’s episode, and Dave’s suggestion that, “It could be Kate Ritchie who, also, with horses… she was the face and the body of Jockey underwear!”
The ‘horses’ reference was part of an earlier clue that Monster had given that evening and we have to admit, it kind of adds up, right?
Interestingly, Kate didn’t actually deny that she’s Monster at any point in the chat that followed between herself, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold.
“It is their real singing voice, isn’t it – or is it my singing voice, who knows?” she quipped, prompting a straight-up question that we wish she’d given a straight-up answer!
“Is it your singing voice?” one of the boys asked.
“What do you reckon?!” Kate replied – not actually saying no (just sayin’).
As Tim and Marty debated back and forth about who else could be on the show, Kate tried to steer them onto a new topic:
“Are we really getting bogged down in this conversation?” she asked.
Come on, Kate. We love you as the cutie-pie Monster – make our dreams come true!
The Channel 10 series sees 12 celebrities performing anonymously in elaborate costumes designed by Hwang Jae-geun (including lion, dragon, octopus, monster, wolf, unicorn and prawn costumes) as viewers and a panel of star-studded judges attempt to guess their identity.
So far, six celebs have been unmasked on the show: Gretel Killeen (who wore the Octopus costume), Brett Lee (as Parrot), child star Nikki Webster (Alien), Wendell Sailor (the much-loved Rhino), Darren McMullen (as a jaunty pirate-like Prawn) and, the most recent departure, country star Adam Brand (as Dragon).
Lindsay Lohan joins Dannii Minogue, Jackie O’ Henderson and Dave Hughes as the celebrity judges, and the show is hosted by none other than Bachelor star Osher Gusnberg!
