The TV presenter admitted that people had been questioning whether she had ‘work done’, so decided to reveal all the details.

“I’ve had all my teeth moved, and in the process widened my smile, lifted my extra chin/neck gobble part (I think that’s what biologists call it), and tightened my ever-loosening jawline,” she wrote for Nine Honey

The presenter then went into detail, explaining that she was loosing the ability to chew or bite because of her chronic over-bite.

First, she had braces, but: “Unfortunately, they made the business of speaking a little difficult. And as a television broadcaster and podcaster, I am in the business of speaking.”

She then had an to drill hooks under her cheekbones and then buttons glued to her teeth to attach to rubber bands designed to pull her mouth shut.

The result was straight teeth, being able to chew again and weight loss. “I lost a few kilograms that I could easily do without.”

McKinnon also discovered the anti-ageing benefit. “I’ve since looked into it and increasingly people are having late life orthodontics to look younger,” she wrote.

“Orthodontic work can give support to your lips and cheekbones, making them look fuller.”
