We’ve seen many celebrities change their hair during the lockdown period, and now Married At First Sight’s Connie Crayden has joined the masses.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Connie shared an up-close look at her new hairdo.
“I have been working to change my hair for a little while now but it is in such good condition I couldn’t part ways with it, I can’t change it, I’m too attached to it,” she told the camera.
The 28-year-old marine biology student then said that her hairdresser lightened her fringe and the hair framing her face.
“I think it looks really really cool, I’m really digging it,” she added. “I want to go a little bit lighter now but I’m easing myself into it – if I’d jumped right into the deep end I would’ve had a freak out.”
This isn’t the first time Connie has made a change to her hair since her Married At First Sight experience.
The former reality star shocked fans when she showed off her fringe haircut, captioning her selfie saying “Brought the bangs back.”
Her new look was met with many compliments, including some from her former co-stars.
“Absolutely stunning,” Natasha Spencer commented on the snap whilst Lizzie Sobinoff posted a series of heart-eye emojis.
Connie may have appeared to be shy and introverted on the show, but former bride Cathy Evans told Lisa, Sarah, Dan and Ben on their Hit 90.0 radio show that viewers didn’t see everything.
“They showed her to be this shy, sweet girl when for us girls, she wasn’t really like that. She wasn’t shy. She had a mean girl motive,” Cathy said.
“She was always with the boys and stuff and she always wanted to stay away from the girls because they were a threat to her. She’d be right in the middle of the boys and there was obvious flirting.”
Connie isn’t the only bride from her season of MAFS who has lightened their hair whilst in isolation.
Amanda Micallef, who along with wife Tash Herz became the show’s first same-sex couple since marriage equality was legalised, revealed that she’d gone from brunette to blonde.
“I’m blonde again after 6 years of no colour,” the strength coach captioned her photo. “One of the best salon experiences I’ve had.”
