Perrie Edwards has just gone viral on social media, and it’s for such a beautiful reason.
After posting an absolutely stunning photo of herself on Instagram, fans were quick to praise the star for not hiding a scar running down her chest.
Perrie has had the scar since she was a child. Her oesophagus was too small, which meant she had to undergo a series of operations to help her eat. She has previously called the scar her “least favourite body part,” but now showing it off, it has inspired girls around the world to do the same.
“It’s so inspiring that you own your insecurities and love yourself,” one fan wrote.

“An inspiration for all of us who have them! Thank you Perrie,” said another.
“Thank you, Perrie, for helping me and many other people feel more comfortable and confident about showing our scars. I had a pacemaker fitted 18 months ago, and don’t show my scar (and the lump that has come with it) often. But you know what? Why should we hide them? They make us who we are,” another passionate fan wrote.
Some have even gone as far has tagging Perrie and her pic alongside their own #scars, and it’s making waves online.
I'm so tired of seeing people slut shame little mix for showing some skin when in reality they're inspiring younger girls. This is amazing. pic.twitter.com/11B3yMGgLJ
