What is LED?

Light-emitting diode, or more commonly known as LED, was first used as a light therapy by NASA to engender plant growth. Since then, it has been adapted as a skincare tool used in both salons and at home. LED light therapy uses different lights, sometimes red or blue to promote the appearance of healthy complexions.

What’s the difference between red light and blue light?

Most LED face masks are fitted with different coloured lights, each designed to promote the appearance of healthy skin in a different way. Commonly, red light promotes a youthful complexion, while blue light is better suited for younger people to assist with blemish control.

How often can people use LED?

Most LED devices are pre-set with timers and will automatically switch off after the pre-set time is up. In order to keep the appearance of healthy-looking skin, standard skincare products should be used in combination with the mask.
