The Australian Open this year has been fortunate to have Fashion Royalty Anna Wintour attend and all eyes have been on what she wears.
Arriving in Melbourne, the Editor in Chief of Vogue sported a Tory Burch dress – which as most mentioned right away was an outfit we have seen Anna in before.
The style and print is a signature look for her always paired with dark sunglasses and of course a mid height heel.
As the week progressed we saw her in similar styles, some with longer sleeve lengths than others, yet always to the knee with her signature accessories.
When it comes to beauty she keeps her look fresh and classic, a signature bob and neutral make up is her go-to look.
Focusing on her fashion and what she wears has brought to our attention how strong her sense of style is and that she is someone that knows what works for her and sticks to it.
She doesn’t do ‘trends’, doesn’t experiment with new styles – she just wears what works for her.
Some could say it’s quite ironic since she is the editor of one of the most recognised fashion titles in the world, who, each month showcase new trends, designers and tells people what new pieces to look out for, but she has kept to her style through-out it all.
As ironic as it is, we seem to think that there is something extremely powerful with her doing that. She is the first to see any collection, can edit a look without thinking twice, works with all international designers to showcase the best possible collections each season, can forecast a trend from fashion to social media before anyone else does.
Therefore, Wintour could be changing her look every day if she wished yet has kept to her identity through-out it all making her one of the most stylish women in the world because of her strong sense of confidence.
Trends are there for us to try, but sometimes don’t work for everyone.
So, do what Anna does best and work with what makes you feel confident.
