Making history by having the first African American photographer to shoot a Vogue cover in 126 years, 23 yr old Tyler Mitchell directs a candid video of the behind the scenes moments from the cover shoot.

This is an exciting visual journey for her fans or “BeyHives” to see the popstar in this light which is a departure from VOGUE’S often super extravagant backgrounds and sets. One of the fan comments on the video includes “The shoot was stripped down yet Bey looked so glamorous.”

Simultaneously raw and cinematic, we get a glimpse into the “real” Beyoncé moments which are so rare, so we are so excited to this footage.

A modern- style video with a Curtis Mayfield song over the top, Beyonce is multi-faceted as she is playing and smiling with her kids in one moment then posing in a stunning floral head arrangement & understated makeup in the next.

With a sometimes 70’s vibe and aesthetic, the small snippets of Blue Ivy and her twins peppered through the video gives us a little more insight into Beyoncé’s personal life.

More of what can be described as a visual experience, the behind the scenes footage definitely feels like watching moving art.
