We’ve seen tights on the stylish legs of editors and influencers at Australian Afterpay Fashion Week, not to mention a slew of celebrities taking stockings to the red carpet as of late.
Stockings are officially trendy, and you will catch us jumping on that train before you can say “tights”.
What does ‘denier’ mean?
Denier is the thickness in which stockings are measured. The higher the denier the more opaque (full coverage) they are, the lower the denier the thinner and more sheer your tights will be.
If you prefer to have a little skin peeping through your tights, opt for a pair that sits under 40 denier and go above that for a thicker, warmer tight.
How do I find the perfect stocking?
Well that really depends on preference. No longer are black or nude tights the go to, we’ve seen fully monochromatic looks as of late with stockings to match. Anne Hathaway recently made headlines as she danced the night away following a Valentino party in a look consisting of sparkly leopard print tights, which definitely has us thinking.
