October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. After startling statistics revealed COVID-19 pandemic related closures of BreastScreen clinics across Australia led to a 98 percent fall in check-ups, it’s more important than ever to raise awareness.

That very data formed the basis of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness theme: Rise.

“The past year has posed a challenge to just about everything, and breast cancer prevention is no exception. Although we saw setbacks in screenings and early detection, we’re rising to the challenge together,” the official site reads.

Wondering what you can do to support the cause this month? Head to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation or the National Breast Cancer Foundation to donate, volunteer or fundraise.

There are also several brands giving back and donating portions of their sale throughout October. So, if you’re doing some online shopping anyway, why not shop one of the brands below.
