She’s the consummate style icon, topping best-dressed lists for over a decade, and now, 42-year-old actress Diane Kruger covers the recent issue of Porter magazine.
The strikingly beautiful model turned actress opens up about marriage and having children later in life.

Diane once told the press that she would never discuss her relationships again after being under so much public scrutiny following her split with Joshua Jackson.

People were so invested in their 10-year relationship that they were upset and shocked about the pair’s breakup. Kruger had said, “I feel like I share enough of my life with everyone. Some things have got to stay more concealed now,”
Kruger still hopes to keep as private as possible (she is currently in a relationship with actor Norman Reedus with whom she has a new baby daughter) however, she seems to be open to the idea of discussing marriage and children again…

Speaking to the fashion publication, Diane reveals why she waited to have a child, she says: “I didn’t think I wanted children for a long time. I was too selfish. But by the time I got to about 35, I thought, yes, I probably do want one. But then you have to wait for the right person to come along.”
Norman Reedus posts the first and only picture of their baby daughter above.
That person was Reedus, who she shares this lovely sentiment about – “He’s so calm, and he teaches me a lot.”
Kruger who previously vowed that she wouldn’t talk about her relationship again, reveals her thoughts on marriage now (she was once married to French actor and director Guillaume Canet. When she was 23 years old) she tells the magazine, “Never say never,” and “I would have a party. I’d like to wear a nice dress. But I’m not religious, so that aspect of marriage doesn’t mean anything to me. There’s obviously a financial security that comes with marriage, but I’m financially independent – I don’t need anyone for that.” Amen sister!

Kruger has had an interesting start to life, born in Germany to a pianist father and bank teller mother, she was a ballerina until an injury at the age of 13 saw her transition into the modeling industry where she won Germany’s Elite Model Look contest at 15.

She has since appeared on many glossy magazine covers such as German Vogue and French Elle as well as the many high-end campaigns she has lent her incredible beauty to, including Chanel and Giorgio Armani.
