In what consider to be a surprise inclusion in this year’s list, Love it or List It and Selling Houses Australia host Andrew Winter is in contention for a prestigious Gold Logie award.
But, in a shock turn of events, the British TV presenter was a no-show at Sunday’s glittering Nominees announcement party, held at the Gold Coast’s Nineteen at the Star.
The reason? According to TV Week magazine, just two weeks ago he suffered an incident of Bell’s Palsy, a condition that has left half of his face paralysed.
“It’s just a very unusual thing to hit you,” the Foxtel presenter told the magazine on Sunday.
The condition, which is usually brought about as a side-effect to a virus, began to effect Andrew as he was returning from a lunch out, a fortnight ago.
The presenter rushed to hospital, where a diagnosis of Bell’s Palsy was given.
“They ruled out all the scary stuff and then said, ‘This is what you’ve got pal,'” he told TV Week.
The condition has meant filming for Selling Houses Australia has been placed on hold while Andrew recovers at home.

“It has huge repercussions on everyone, and now I’m sitting at home like a lazy ass just waiting for one side of my face to join the other side of my head,” he told the magazine.
We wish Andrew a speedy recovery.
