These stars make working up a sweat—and cooking up a storm— look good

Kate Hudson
There’s an entrepreneurial brain behind the sunny smile of this Hollywood golden girl. She’s teamed up with active wear label Fabletics to launch a line of sleek workout gear. The mother-of-two stays in shape with Pilates and boxing and, when low on motivation, turns to #fabletics to stay inspired.

Karlie Kloss
Kloss has turned in her wings after two years as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and now she’s soaring to new heights with an ambitious personal project, Klossy. Launched in July, the YouTube channel lets us into her world. She gets behind the camera at photo-shoots and Fashion Weeks, plus inside her kitchen (and she’s already released her own line of healthy “Kookies”).

Sarah Michelle Gellar
As well versed as Buffy was in garlic and other vampire-repellents, the actress reveals her more complex palate with her company, Food stirs. The business delivers relatively healthy baking and food-decorating kits, designed to be cooked by the whole family and create delicious memories.

Emmy Rossum
The Shameless star is often spotted out and about in her active wear. She’s frank about her strict, but fun, exercise routine, and prefers Soulcycle and dance classes to personal trainers. Proving she’s a multi-tasker, Rossum has shared an Instagram snap of her memorising her lines while training—a mind and body workout.

Michelle Obama
The First Lady has made tackling obesity rates one of her main pursuits while at the White House, and she’s often seen donning gardening gloves and singing the praises of organic produce.

Oprah Winfrey
Oprah’s Instagram account offers a glimpse into the mogul’s home and garden, with regular harvest updates and snaps of fresh fruit and vegetables tended to by O herself. We would expect nothing less from the Queen of Self-Care.

Christy Turlington
The supermodel has always been a yoga advocate—she’s been doing it since the ’90s (way before the rest of us caught on). Turlington is also the founder of Every Mother Counts, a non-profit organisation that aims to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for mothers all over the world. She runs the New York Marathon every year as part of the group’s team.

Lea Michele
Not content to rest on her laurels, the triple-threat actress, singer and author has released a guided health journal. Along with relationship and wellness advice, the book features exercise and diet tips and space to track progress.
