The book by novelist and TV writer Maria Semple spent a year on the New York Times bestseller list, and now Where’d You Go, Bernadette has been made into a film. The trailer (which you can watch below) for the movie has just been released, showing Cate Blanchett as MIA mum Bernadette Fox.
Released in 2012, Where’d You Go, Bernadette tells the comic story of mother-of-one Bernadette Fox, who suddenly disappears, leaving her family to try and work out where she’s gone after she climbs out the bathroom window of her picture perfect Seattle house.
Joining Blanchett is Billy Crudup, who plays Bernadette’s husband, Elgie, and newcomer Emma Nelson as the couple’s over-achieving daughter, Bee. Also in the cast are Kristen Wiig, Troian Bellisario and Laurence Fishburne.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette will be in cinemas in 2019.
