Police are urging the public to be alert, after a convicted double mutilation murderer on parole removed his electronic ankle bracelet, and is now at large, last seen in Sydney.

Damien Anthony Peters, 50, was last confirmed at Prince of Wales Hospital in the Sydney suburb of Randwick at about 4:15pm on Sunday. His ankle bracelet was located about four hours later.
Peters stabbed and dismembered Tereaupii Aka in 2001, and eight months later killed and mutilated Bevan James Frost.
He was imprisoned for 21 years in 2002, but has been on parole since November 2016.
Peters is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175 to 185cm tall, with a muscular build and short brown hair.
He has a tattoo on his right upper arm of a snake wrapped around a panther and tribal-style tattoos on his upper left upper arm.
Members of the public are urged not to approach Mr Peters if sighted, instead contact 000 (Triple Zero).
