He hasn’t featured in Game of Thrones since Season 3’s Red Wedding, but Richard Madden has been keeping an eye on what’s been happening in Westeros and has come up with a suggestion for how he thinks the saga will end when the series concludes in 2019.

The star of Netflix sensation Bodyguard, Madden, 32, told The Hollywood Reporter, “I can’t wait for the new season … I’m just a viewer now, which is so good. That was one of the bad things about being in the show is you got the scripts so you knew what was going to happen next, and I’ve not had that for years, so now I can just truly enjoy it as a viewer, which is thrilling.”

As for his thoughts on who will end up on the Iron Throne, the actor said, “I kind of think it’s just going to be three dragons flying around and everyone else is dead. It’s a possibility!” Guess when it comes to Game of Thrones, anything is possible.

When it came to Bodyguard, Madden, who is nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series – Drama for the six-part show, didn’t want to know how it ended too far in advance. “I waited as long as I could until I read Episode 6 because I didn’t want to pre-empt anything within my performance before I had to so I could just let it play out,” he told Gold Derby.
