Royal baby watch is at a fever pitch.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first child is due now and speculation is rife that Baby Sussex may have already arrived.
The couple, who is nearly one year into their marriage, revealed this birth will be very private.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,” the palace said in a worldwide statement.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Just last week royal theorists assumed the royal baby had arrived when they noticed the palace website was under construction.
Web updates all took place for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and most recently Prince Louis .
We then learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were simply getting their own Instagram account.
Royal authority Katie Nicholl believes they’ll use their new Instagram account to share photos of their baby, moving forward.
“It wouldn’t surprise me for two reasons: the issue of privacy, Harry wanting to protect his family,” Nicholl remarked.
“It’s a way of them controlling things and I think that’s what we’re going to see with this couple, taking back their control of their public image.”
Further rumblings from the UK feel like Harry and Meghan’s latest Instagram post has given fans a big hint.
The couple thanked everyone for all their well wishes and donations.
And they signed off their note: “on behalf of The Duke and Duchess (and Baby Sussex), we thank you so much”.
A royal insider told New Idea magazine, “There’s all sorts of talk in royal circles that Meghan and Harry have already had the baby.”
“No-one would be surprised if they had – after all, they’re such a private couple and have never done anything by the books.”
Here’s to another day of royal baby Sussex watch.
