"Their Royal Highnesses have take a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
"The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
The official statement comes days before Baby Sussex's due date, and as Meghan Markle's mother Doria reportedly touches down in the UK.
The parents-to-be also just moved into their new home, Frogmore Cottage, which for the past 10 months has undergone extensive renovations to prepare for their little one.
It's also located 29km away in Windsor, the small town where they were married last May, and the location where they will reportedly welcome their baby into the world.
The couple have chosen for Meghan not to give birth at St Mary's hospital's Lindo Wing, breaking four generations of royal tradition.
